My last post on this blog was for 1 March 2009, slightly more than a month ago. This has been the longest ever I have ever gone without blogging and it has been to due to several reasons, of which I may provide a clue in the words to follow.

Ever since I started using Facebook and Twitter , blog posts have almost become unnecessary for me because whatever I was blogging for the past one year was mostly random thoughts and ramblings I deemed fit to write to the public. Twitter is actually a form of microblogging, in which you offer a statement to the world in 140 characters or less and Facebook is similar to this concept via its status updates. For the past few months, using these two services to tell the world what I wanted to say, was sufficient.

However, the need for intellectual expression continues to grow. There is no way you can provide your serious views on politics and interests using just 140 characters, and you surely do not want to see me tag you on Facebook Note regarding my latest craze about an iPhone app in which you may or may not be interested.

As such, I am now continuing my blog writings as of today. Posts will still be infrequent, dependent on whether I find the time and the energy to put my thoughts to screen in the days ahead.

What I really want for the direction of my blog to go towards is to provide a central homepage for people to discover where I am on the web. Several appealing Web 2.0 services have sprung up over the years, and I really want people to discover my bookmarks on Delicious, my tweets on Twitter, my social profiles via LinkedIn and Facebook, my shared items on Google Reader and many more. What's the point of any social technology if you have no one to view what you have created?

Among the varied interests I have taken towards lately are Apple news, iPhone apps, Rich Internet Applications, Twitter, business and startups topics and design. Yes, that was very geek of me. It is true that whatever interests me makes me who I am. But don't worry, I still got the interest in business which will force me out of the house soon.

I also want to let you know that I will be sharing links and information regarding my interests via Twitter and Facebook. Some of you may not totally interested and I really must apologise because I am actually reaching out to a wider crowd. I want to start providing things of value, and not just spout emotional nonsense which can be irrelevant the next morning.

But if you are interested in whatever I have to say, please do subscribe to me via RSS or be my Twitter friend. My network in my new interests are really next to non-existent so far, but I will take the free time which I will have in July to roll out some connections.

I don't have time yet to roll out changes to my blog (I'm still busy with that book of mine, really sorry about that). So the promise for a refreshing new take is best taken with a pinch of salt. Nonetheless, if you have the time, feel free to come take a look on what I have written. I thank you all the same for coming in just to check whether I have updated and I adore you if you are still checking this page since 1 March 2009.

Till then, have a nice day!
